Hello Everyone,
I want to thank those who participated in the pre-order over the past month. The response was overwhelming and we have already sold almost a third of the DVD stock! Thus far the feedback for Reloaded has been unbelievable, even better than I could have ever imagined. For those who missed out on the pre-sale, you can still order the DVD direct from us before the DVD hits the vendors for a good deal.
Reloaded DVD Pricing Info
We will be selling the DVD direct from us for $41 USD including shipping for domestic orders and $51 USD for international orders. I will sign the DVDs personally for all orders direct from us.
If you never ordered the first DVD, Unleashed and wish to purchase both Unleashed and Reloaded together you can still get a really sweet deal (as long as we have Unleashed in stock, after it's gone it's gone for good most likely) by ordering both together. You can get both DVDs for $61 USD including shipping for domestic orders and $71 USD including shipping for international orders.
Payment can be made the following ways:
Paypal:
Please send payment to dvdunleashed@gmail.com (we are keeping the same paypal payment address that we used for the first DVD) and make sure in the comments section to include your name and EXACT mailing address. We will not be responsible for people who give us incorrect addresses (happens more than you think).
Check or Money Order
Make Check payable to G&N Partnership and send to the following address:
BioLayne LLC
PO Box 270745
Tampa, FL 33618
Be sure to include the correct return email address and the name of who the DVD should be addressed to.

Update (olympia, powerlifting, and research)
Hey Everyone,
As usual I've done a poor job of keeping my blog updated, so here we go! As many of you know, I will be attending the Mr. Olympia this weekend with Isabel to cover the event for bodybuilding.com. If you are attending you can chat/meet with me at the Scivation booth (booth #251) on both Friday and Saturday from 2-4pm. If you can't attend then make sure you are following me on twitter as I will be tweeting updates that you can follow @biolayne on twitter. I will be tweeting pictures, updates, and all kinds of VIP/behind the scenes stuff for you guys.
I also have picked out my next powerlifting competition. I will be doing the October 8th Raw United meet in Tampa at the Jackson Springs recreation center. I am hoping to hit a 1650+ raw total at the meet. I recently hit a 610 lb squat in training so things are really looking good!
Finally, my PhD research group got our latest study published regarding protein synthesis in skeletal muscle. You can view the abstract here: http://ajpendo.physiology.org/content/early/2011/09/07/ajpendo.00242.2011.abstract
For a more 'lay' interpretation of this research please read: http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/protein_size_&_frequency.pdf
Thanks for reading and following!

In need of peak week help?
Hey Everyone,
I know competition season is in full swing now and many of you are starting to agonize over your peak week. Sodium, water, carbs, oh my! What should you do? There is so much information out there but 99% of it is nonsense. Unfortunately, I can only personally prep so many competitors at once but that doesn’t mean I can’t help the rest of you all out a bit! I recently did a complete ‘peak week’ video series for bodybuilding.com. You can check out the complete series here:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/layne-norton-peak-week-episodes.html
Here is the the video intro to the series:
I would also suggest viewing contest prep episodes from my old series, “Inside the Life of a Pro Natural Bodybuilder” where I discuss sodium and fluid dynamics in detail:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/insidethelife6.htm
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/insidethelife7.htm
Also a link to a thread where I further discuss fluid dynamics and sodium:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=115593581
And finally a link to my peak week Q&A thread:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=132940313
I hope you find this information helpful and relevant. I am on vacation right now in Puerto Rico to celebrate my 3 year anniversary with my wife, so I likely won’t be able to get to many questions in the next few weeks, but if you watch the videos and read the threads you will find it is likely your question has already been addressed.
Best of luck at your shows this year!
Til’ next time,
Layne

Big Announcement for myself and Scivation
I am now an official consultant for Scivation! Please see press release below:
Layne Norton, PhD. is now Research and Development Consultant for Scivation. Layne holds a PhD. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois, is an IFPA and NGA Professional Bodybuilder, record holding AAPF Powerlifter and also owns Biolayne, LLC.—an elite training and nutrition consultation firm. Layne has been affiliated with Scivation since its first year in business over eight years ago as a sponsored athlete.
“I have seen Layne grow as a person and a professional in our years together. When it comes to ethics, drive and knowledge, Layne is the best there is,” says Scivation Owner Marc Lobliner. “It is an honor to finally have Layne on board time as part of the Scivation R&D Dream Team that includes Chris Lockwood, PhD., CSCS and Derek Charlebois.”
Layne states, "I have been involved with Scivation from close to the start of the company. They have been my one and only supplement company sponsor my entire career because I believe in their products and I believe in their mission. I have had many opportunities over the years to take sponsorships or jobs with other supplement companies and I turned them all down because I firmly believed in Scivation. In an industry that has become infamous for gimmicks and fly by night companies, I believe Scivation stands apart from the rest as a model of character and integrity. I could not be more excited to now be formally associated as a consultant for Scivation. I truly believe that together we can leave a positive stamp on this industry.”
Layne will be involved in all aspects of product development for Scivation.
